The Big Bang Theory and Quran!

• Modern Science: Astronomers of today accept the big bang philosophy for the creation of this universe. According to the theory, 15billion years ago a primordial mass exploded and the universe was formed. This was discovered somewhere in 1973.
• The Quran: “Do not the unbelievers see that the Heavens and the earth were joined together, and then We split them apart.” (21:30)

Expansion of the Universe

• Modern science: “The universe is not static, as had previously been thought, it is expanding”
• The Quran: “And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and verily We are expanding it” (51:47)

Reality of Sun’s Orbit

• Modern Science: Previous theories stated that sun is motionless in the center of the solar system with all the planets revolving around it. But modern science tells us today that the sun too is in motion along with the planets, and travels at 150 miles per second takes about 200 million years to complete one revolution around the center of our Milky Way Galaxy and 25 days to make one complete rotation around its own axis.
• The Quran: “It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its orbit with its own motion.” (21:33)

Invasion of Space by Human Beings

• Modern Science: After launching of the Russian Satellite, Sputnik I in 1957, the human interest in the space took form. Entailed by several incidents including man’s landing on moon, human dream of conquering space was given a reality.
• The Quran: “O assembly of Jinns and humans, if you can penetrate the regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate them! You will not penetrate them save with a power (of God).” (55:33)

Earth’s Ozone Layer

• Modern Science: Science proves that Earth is frequently attacked by meteoroids that collapse by sun rays. Similarly the dangerous UV radiation is absorbed by the Ozone layer around our planet, thus protecting it and making us live on earth.
• The Quran: “And We have made the atmosphere a protective roof, yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things point to.” (21:32)

The Creation of Mankind:

• Modern Science: Through powerful microscopes, ultra sound and fiber optics technology, the science of embryology shows that life is generated by eggs. Here are the processes defined by modern embryology:

1. Fertilization takes place with only one sperm among several tens of millions produced by man.
2. Implantation of the blastocyst in the uterus
3. The human embryo is similar to a leech from days 7-24, when it clings to the endometrium of the uterus.
4. The internal ears appear before the eyes, and the brain appears last.

• The Quran:

1. “God fashioned man from a small quantity (of sperm)” (16:4)
2. “Then We placed him as a drop in a place of rest” (23:13)
3. “Then We made the drop into a leech like structure…” (23:14)
4. “And He (God) gave you hearing and sight and feeling and understanding.” (32:9)

The Quran describes not only the development of external form but also the internal stages – the stages inside the embryo of its creation and development, emphasizing major events recognized by contemporary science.

Existence of Two Genders

• Modern Science: Science tells us that everything from animals to plants and even bacteria are divided into pairs, male and female.

• The Quran: “Hallowed is He, Who created pairs in all things, those that grow from the earth and of themselves, and what they know not.” (36:36)

“Pray to me and I will hear your prayer” Quran (40:60).

Namaz, Salah or Prayer is obligatory on every Muslim man and woman after reaching adolescence. Among all the wonderful benefits of praying, here is why Prayer is so important a deed in Islam:

• Allah Is With Those Who Pray

“Oh ye who believe! Seek help with perseverance and prayer: for God is with those who patiently persevere (11:153)

• Prayer Leads to Taqwa

“This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who have taqwa; who believe in the unseen, and who establish Salah, and spend out of what we have provided for them” (2: 2-3)

• Prayer Is a Believer’s Deed

“The believers, men and women, are protecting friends of one another; they enjoin good and forbid evil, and they establish Salah, and give Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them, and surely, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (9: 71)

• Prayer Results in Allah’s Blessings

“So whatever you have been given is but (a passing) enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. And those who avoid the great sins and lewdness, and when they are angry, they forgive. And those who answer the Call of their Lord, and perform the Salah, and who conduct their affairs by mutual consultation, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them.” (42:36-38)

“Truly, those who believe and do righteous deeds, and perform Salah, and give Zakah, they will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (2:277)

“When have finished performing the Salah, remember Allah standing, sitting, and reclining, but when you are free from danger, perform the Salah. Surely, Salah is enjoined on the believers at
fixed times.” (4:103)

• Prayers Are A Way To Seek Allah’s Help

“Oh you who believe! When the call is made for the Salah on Friday, come to the remembrance of Allah, and leave off business. That is better for you, if you only knew! And when the Salah has ended, you may disperse through the land, and seek the Bounty of Allah, and remember Allah much so that you may be successful.” (62:09-10)

• Prayer Prevents From Satan

“Shaytaan desires only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from Salah. So will you then not abstain
(from these evils)?” (5:91)

• Prayer Saves from Troubles

“Recite that which has been revealed to you of the Book, and perform Salah. Verily, Salah prevents from lewdness and evils. And indeed, the remembrance of Allah (by you) is greatest. And Allah knows what you do.” (29:45)

• Only Those Who Pray Can Be Your Good Friends

“Indeed, your protecting friend (Wali) is none other than Allah, His Messenger, and the Believers who establish Salah, and give Zakat, and bow down (in prayer). (5: 55)

• Prayer and Women

“And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform Salah, and give Zakah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah wishes only to remove uncleanness from you, Oh people of the House, and to purify you with a thorough purification.” (33:33)

• Not Observing Prayer Is a Hypocrite’s Act

“Verily, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah, but it is He who deceives them; When they stand up for Salah, they stand with laziness, only to be seen by men; and they do not remember Allah but a little.” (4:142)

• Leaving Prayer Causes Kufr

“(And remain always) turning to Him (only), and be fearful and dutiful towards Him, and perform Salah and be not of those who commit Shirk.” (30: 31)

• Leaving Prayers Destroys A Nation!

“Then, there came after them a generation who gave up Salah and followed lusts; so they will be thrown in Hell.” (19: 59)

Everyone in this world is well aware of the fact that this life is mortal. All of us are sent in to this world for some specific time after that we have to dwell in eternal life which starts after the end of this life. Humans pass through different phases after the death i.e. separation of soul from body, life, in grave and the most important event that will happen on the Day of Judgment is when we will be held accountable for our deeds and when we will be questioned by our Lord Allah (S.W.T.) as He says in Qur’an:

“Then surely, We shall question those (people) to whom it (the book) was sent and verily, We shall question the Messengers.” ( Al-A’raf, 6 and 7)

Two Methods of Accountability

On the Day of Judgment, every human being who is sent into this world in any era will be stood together at a place where they will be held accountable in front of God as He says in Qur’an:

“The Day is approaching when every soul shall find itself confronted with whatever good it has done and whatever evil it has wrought. It will then wish there is a wide space between it and the Day! Allah warns you to beware of Him; He is most tender towards His servants.” (Surat Al-Imran, 30)

There will be two methods of accountability,

• Those who have successfully spent their lives according to the teachings of Allah and His Prophet (PBUH) will be directly sent to the paradise to live an eternal life with all the blessing they have been promised for and will be considered as the most successful people.

They will say: “Praise be to Allah Who has fulfilled His promise to us and made us the inheritors of this land, letting us settle in Paradise wherever we want. How excellent is the wage of those who work.” (Surat az-Zumar, 74)

• Those who used to commit evil things in the worldly life will be questioned about their bad acts and surely they will have no answer for it except shame on their own deeds and begging pardon for their wrongdoings but the time of forgiveness will be over. Those people will be sent to hell fire where they will be tortured for their sins until they complete their punishments.

On the Day when those who were unbelievers are exposed to the Fire, [it will be said to them]: “You dissipated the good things you had in your worldly life, and enjoyed yourself in it. So today you are being repaid with the punishment of humiliation for being arrogant in the earth without any right, and for being deviators.” (Surat al-Ahqaf, 20)

First Question for the Mankind

Prayer is the very first question that will be asked from the people on the Day of Judgment. If a person performs prayers with the extreme quality, then the person will be saved. If the prayers were done incompletely or half-heartedly, then his voluntary prayers will suffice for the shortcomings.

Prophet (PBUH) said:

The Messenger (S.A.W.) told us in an authentic hadith , “The first thing the people will be accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer, Allah will say to His angels (even though he already knows) : “Look at my servants prayers. Were they complete or not?” If they were complete it will be written as complete. If they were not fully complete Allah will say: “See if my servant has voluntary prayers, if he has them Allah will say: Complete his obligatory prayers shortage with his voluntary prayers.” Then the rest of his deeds will be dealt with in the same manner.” (Reported by Imams Ahmad, Abu Dawood, An-Nisa’i, and Al-Hakim)

Five Things that will be Asked

The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told us about five major questions that will be asked, and no one can bypass these prosecutions.

1. How he lived his life?
2. How he utilized his youth?
3. What means did he earn his wealth?
4. How did he spend his wealth?
5. What did he do with his knowledge?

There are lots of other question that will be asked from us e.g. all of our covenants and promises that have made in our lives, hearing, our vision, and our hearts.

“And fulfill (every) covenant. Verily! The covenant will be questioned about.” ( Surat Al-Israa, Verse 34)

“Verily! The hearing, and the sight, and the heart, of each of those, you will be questioned (by Allah)” ( Surat Al-Israa, Verse 36)

Conclusion

Muslims should consider themselves very lucky by having told about the day of judgment in such clear words and have Qur’an, Hadith and Sunnah to learn and live the life according to them so that at the Day of Judgment we stand amongst the believers and successful people. The good believer is the one who prepares himself for those difficult events by getting closer to Allah (S.W.T), by doing good deeds, and by staying away from what Allah has forbidden, so that he will be among those who receive their book of deeds on the Day of Judgment in their right hand and Allah will enter them into paradise.

Islam and Christianity are the two largest religions dominating the world, yet following the same baseline which reflects “Belief in One God.” It’s surprising to know how much similarity and connection both these monotheistic religions carry. Let’s throw some light on these similarities:

The Fateha & The Lord’s Prayer:

“The Lord’s Prayer” in the bible and the “Sura Al-Fateha” in the Quran are universal prayers. After careful observation, we can see that both the prayers carry the similar meaning with only the difference of language.

Belief on Jesus

Both Muslims and Christians recognize the Jesus. Both believe that Jesus was sinless and born of the Virgin Mary. Both religions accept that Jesus preformed miracles and was crucified and raised up to God. The difference is only in the belief where Muslims see Jesus as a highly regarded prophet, while Christians take Him as God Himself.

Belief in the World Hereafter

Islam and Christianity are united on the concept of the doomsday. Both believe that existence of this World is finite, but man does not know when the World will come to an end. Jesus Christ will return when the World ends and at that time Satan and his servants will be defeated. Believers who die will go to heaven and live forever, while Disbelievers will go to hell to be punished.

Similarity in Prayer

Prayer is an integral part of both the religions. Both religions facilitate the communication of man with God through prayer. Prayer can be conducted at any time and special times also exist to make sure man develops the habit to pray. Praying aids like “tasbeeh” in Islam and “rosary” in Christianity are also used which resemble a string of beads.

Creation of This World and Creation of Man

In both the Bible and The Quran, creation of the world and the man has been described alike. Here are a couple of verses, one from Quran and other from Bible, enforcing the same meanings:

• Quran and world’s creation: “We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.”
• Bible and world’s creation: “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”
• Quran and man’s creation: “Behold! Thy Lord said to the angels: “I am about to create man from sounding clay from mud molded into shape; when I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit fall ye down in obeisance unto him.”
• Bible and man’s creation: “The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

Similarities in Moral Codes

Both religions enforce their followers to abide by the following moral codes:

• Simple faith without its practical implementation is of no use
• Punishment for those who disrespect God and worship any other deity
• Prohibited from inhumane acts like murder, theft, lying, gambling and violence
• Parents and spouses are to be respected
• Adultery, fornication, Homosexuality and vulgarism is forbidden
• Respect and observing society laws is important
• Intoxication and suicide are forbidden
• Both religions oppose same sex marriage

These points certainly show just how similar Christians and Muslims are. All we have to do is look beyond our differences, extend our hands towards each other and live in peace and unity just the way Quran and Bible have directed.

Islam, the second biggest religion of the world after Christianity has around 1.2 billion followers who call themselves Muslims. Day by day, the circle if Islam is widening at quite a commendable rate, i.e. 2.9% increase in its followership per year, which is amazingly higher than the number of births which is increasing at a rate of only 2.3% yearly.

This increasing popularity of the religion has made many people probe deeper into what actually Islam is and who are the real Muslims? Where media of the west is constantly seeding the young minds with a negative concept of Islam, it still remains one of the biggest religions of the world with a tremendous number of supporters.

This is what “YOU” think about Islam and Muslims:

When the questions like “What is Islam?” or “Who are the Muslims?” are raised, the only answers you’ll get are “Islam is the religion of war and Muslims are the terrorists”. But there is more to Islam than such false accusations, and people round the Globe are advised to explore it themselves and then judge the true character of Islam and Muslims – you’ll be shocked by how different your answers will be when compared to what the western media portrays!

The Holy Quran and the religion Islam say something else – Whereas the west is busy propagating its own established fake story regarding this sacred religion. It wouldn’t be wise for you to judge something unless you don’t know about it, and it’s your responsibility as an individual to find out why so many Muslims are following Islam with all their hearts and mind, and to find out the force uniting these Muslims despite the bogus claims made against their religion. If nothing else, this finding will at least let you know 22% of the world’s population much better!

This is what Islam and Muslims really are:

For every Muslim, the Quran is not just a book but a complete way of life and this is why they follow Quran persistently throughout their lives. Now believing every word in the Quran to be the exact message from Allah Almighty, here are only a couple of verses quoted from the Quran:

“Fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not transgress limits, God does not love transgressors” (2:190)

“If they seek peace, then you seek peace. And trust in God for He is the One that hears and knows all things” (8:61)

These two verses have been cited to eliminate your concept of Islam as being violent, aggressive and destructive. The word “Islam” itself means peace and harmony. In these two verses, Allah has clearly stated that he can’t love aggressors and fight is only permitted for the reason of self-defense. There are innumerable verses like these, refraining people from fights and suggesting them to find alternatives and maintain peace. War is only allowed when there’s no other way left and your lives and possessions are in a serious threat. Now think for a moment, can a religion talking about peace to such an extent create terrorists, extremists and fanatics? All Islam talks about is peace – peace with God, peace with oneself, and peace with the creations of God!

Now look at this way – if Islam talks about peace, then why are the Muslims terrorists, why all this bloodshed? And the answer you’ll get is quite simple, “because they are NOT Muslims at all!” The true identity of a Muslim is not of an extremist, but Muslim is the one who believes in oneness of God, in the angels created by him, in the Prophets sent by him, in the Day of Judgment, and most importantly in “INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITY OF ACTIONS.”

Muslims are the followers of Allah, and they do this through the guidance of Quran. For every Muslim or non-Muslim who wants to know the reality of Islam and Muslims, Quran is the leading path. Understand the Quran, and you’ll understand how beautiful and peaceful Islam is.

The Concept

large number of feudal in backward areas had married their daughters to the Quran. The ceremony takes place after the girl of the family is asked to take a bath, after which a Qur’an is put before her as the men folk apologize to her for the ritual which would condemn the girl never to get married but to read the Quran every day.

Reasons for Marrying with Qur’an

These sorts of marriages are conducted to prevent their share of the land going to them and thus avoid redistribution of land.

Another reason is that poor parents are not able to find perfect match for their daughter so to prevent her for disgrace, they marry her with Qur’an.

Those who are not so rich to pay dowry to their daughters find it easy to marry her with Qur’an to keep away from humiliating gossips about them.

Islamic Rulings

These marriages are totally illegitimate in Islam and have nothing to do with the religion. This is all about power, control and extreme of ignorance.  Women are not valued enough to consider how their entire lives, and any dreams or hopes they might have had, their lives are ruined by a ‘tradition’ that is inhumane and beyond any rational explanation.

Islam never allows coming off from the world for the sake of religion.  how can one claim that it is right or allowable?  Although Islam requires complete devotion towards religion and Quran Recitation is obligated to all Muslims but this is abusive to marry a girl with Qur’an to make her recite it daily.

Islam doesn’t give men unbounded power to ill-treat women when he is given the status of leader of the house’.  Islam does not want sheep for its disciples. men are required to protect women from abuses, not to legalize what has been illegal in Islamic societies.

We need to clean up our societies from these sorts of unlawful acts to seek God’s pleasure. As God Himself guides us in Qur’an as:

“You shall encourage those of you who are single to get married. They may marry the righteous among your male and female servants, if they are poor. GOD will enrich them from His grace. GOD is Bounteous, Knower.”  [24:32]

The importance marriage receives its greatest emphasis from the following Hadith of the Prophet (PBUH),

“Marriage is my sunnah. Whosoever keeps away from it is not from me.”

“When a man gives his daughter in marriage and she dislikes it, the marriage shall be annulled.” Once a virgin girl came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said that her father had married her to a man against her wishes. The Prophet (PBUH) gave her the right to repudiate the marriage. [Abu Dawud]

Parents Responsibilities

The responsibilities of parents in Islam regarding daughters can b best understood by this Hadith:

Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said: He, who brought up two girls properly till they grew up, he and I would come (together) (very closely) on the Day of Resurrection, and he interlaced his fingers (for explaining the point of nearness between him and that person)

Forced marriages are discouraged in Islam.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “A previously-married woman should not be married without being consulted, and a virgin should not be married without asking her permission.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, how is her permission given?” He said, “By her silence.”

Parents are responsible for best possible growth of their children and selecting best match for their marriage.

Conclusion

Muslim parents are required to act upon the rulings of their religion neglecting the unlawful and disgusting customs and traditions that are brought up by humans. May God help us in abolishing iniquitous practices from our societies that are result of ignorance and betrayal from Islamic teachings.

The other non-Muslims and atheists (disbelievers of God) will agree only if convinced through reason, logic and science. Eating of pork can cause no less than SEVENTY different types of diseases.

A person can have various helminthes like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc… One of the most dangerous is “Taenia Solium”, which is in lay man’s terminology called tapeworm. It harbors in the intestine and is very long. Its ova i.e. eggs, enter the blood stream and can reach almost all the organs of the body. If it enters the brain it can cause memory loss. If it enters the heart it can cause heart attack, if it enters the eye it can cause blindness, if it enters the liver it can cause liver damage. It can damage almost all the organs of the body.

Another dangerous helminthes is Trichura Tichurasis. A common misconception about pork is that if it is cooked well, these ova die. In a research project undertaken in America, it was found that out of twenty-four people suffering from Trichura Tichurasis, twenty two had cooked the pork very well. This indicates that the ova present in the pork do not die under normal cooking temperature.

DISEASES CAUSED BY PORK IN DETAIL
The following lists show germs or parasites that are found in pork and some diseases caused by them. Many of these diseases are contagious while some are proven fatal. This proves that the more science advances the more Islam is shown correct as a religion of God.

PARASITIC (Bloodsucking) DISEASES

a) TRICHINELLA SPIRATIS ( Trichina worms )
It is the most dangerous parasite to man (Rheumatism and muscular pain). The infected persons shown no symptoms recover very slowly some die, some reduced to permanent invalids. No one is immune from this disease and there is no cure.

b) TAENIA SOLIUM (Pork tape worm)
The worm causes malnourishment of the person leading to anemia, diarrhea, extreme depression melancholia and digestive disturbances. Cysticercosis means that larva enter the blood stream then settle down in one or more of the vital organs of the body, for example: brain, liver, lungs or spinal cord. They grow and encapsulate, inducing pressure to the system around, resulting in dangerous diseases (diarrhea, digestive disorder, anemia, chronic invalidation).

c) ROUND WORMS
Examples: Ascaris, which may lead to digestive disturbances, appendicitis, obstructive jaundice.

d) HOOK WORMS
Examples: Ancylostomiasis, which may lead to anemia, oedema, heart failure or retarded growth (mental and physical), tuberculosis, diarrhea and typhoid.
e) SCHITOSOMA JAPONICUM
Bleeding, anemia and other syndromes; if ova are settled in the brain or spinal cord, paralysis and death may occur.
f) PARAGOMINES WESTERMAINI
Infestation leading to bleeding of the lungs (endenve haemoptysis )
g) PACIOLEPSIS BUSKI
Digestive disturbances leading to persistent diarrhea; generalized oedema
h) CLONORCHIS SINENSIS
Chlonorchiasis-obstructive jaundice, liver enlargement
i) METASTRONGYLUS APRI
Causes bronchitis, abscess of the lungs
j) GIGANTHORINCHUS GIGAS
Cause anemia and digestive disorders.
k) BALATITIDIUM COLI
Causes acute dysentery and general weakness

BACTERIAL DISEASES
Tuberculosis Fusiformis necrofurus: causing foot-rot which is very difficult to heal.
Salmonella Cholera suis: causing cholera Paratyphoid Bruceellosis: Acute, sub acute and chronic. It may lead to permanent disabilities. Swine Erysipelas: causing Erysipelas in man.

VIRAL DISEASES
Small pox: is a source of infection to man. Japanese B-encepphalitis: It is the source of infection Influenza, foot mouth disease, gas tro-enteritis of the new born babies.
PROTOZOAN DISEASES
Toxo plasma goundii- It is a very dangerous diseases. A new born baby of an infected woman may die within few days or weeks after delivery. But if he survives he may develop blindness or deafness.In adult chronic exhaustive fever with enlarged liver and spleen may occur. Pneumonia, or celebro- spinal meninggitis which may lead to death or madness. The patient may become blind and deaf too.
OTHER DISEASES
Flesh of the pork is hard to digest and may lead to chronic digestive disturbances. Pimples, boils, cysts are common in pork eaters. These are some of the parasites and diseases found in pork and/ or the skin of pigs and certainly there are many more. There is still no means of killing these parasites, in the tissues, neither has anyone found a method of expelling them, even produced any specific treatment for the diseases.
FATS IN PIGS
Pork contains more fats than other meats. Therefore, people who love of pork are fatter than others. Cholesterol is higher in their blood thus making them more flat to asthereosclerosis cardiovascular accidents and sudden death.
PIG IS THE MOST SHAMELESS ANIMAL
The pig is the most shameless animal on the face of the earth. It is the only animal that invites its friends to have sex with its mate. In America, most people consume pork. Many times after dance parties, they have swapping of wives; i.e. many say “you sleep with my wife and I will sleep with your wife.” If you eat pigs then you behave like pigs. We look upon America to be very advanced and sophisticated. Whatever they do, we follow after a few years. According to an article in Island magazine, this practice of swapping wives has become common practice in South Asia.
PIG IS ONE OF THE FILTHIEST ANIMALS ON EARTH
The pig is one of the filthiest animals on earth. It lives and thrives on muck, feces and dirt. It is the best scavenger that I know that God has produced. In the villages they don’t have modern toilets and the villagers defecate in the open air (Body releases) and Very often these releases are cleared by pigs.
Some may argue that in advanced countries like Australia, pigs are bred in very clean and hygienic conditions. Even in these hygienic conditions the pigs are kept together in sties. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean they are filthy by nature. They eat and enjoy their own as well as their neighbor’s excreta.
CONCLUSION

Isn’t Allah merciful to us? When Allah Almighty prohibits (Haram) something for His servants, He does so certainly out of His overflowing mercy on them, to save them from all what may bring them harm; He is indeed Ever-Kind and Most Glorious!

Prophecies of Mayan Calendar:

The Mayan calendar predicts that the “long cycle” will come to an end on December 21, 2012. We are currently in the 4th cycle recorded by the Maya. It started in 3114B.C. and lasts for 5126 years until 2012. With the end of the 4th cycle comes… the beginning of the 5th cycle. The Maya believe that in the 5th cycle the ancient wisdom of the Maya will be rediscovered by the world and it will be a new dawn for mankind. Islamic Prophecies about End of the World

We can derive a lot of information about historical events and future prophecies from Qur’an as it is the book that reveals many truths about the creation of this world and other natural phenomenon. There are many signs of doomsday stated in Quran and told by Prophet (PBUH) as it was one of the duties of God’s Messenger to unveil the end of the world.

“God is the Knower of the future; He does not permit anyone to unveil such knowledge. Only through the messenger that He chooses does He reveal future and past events” 72:27

Being Muslims we believe that only God has the knowledge of future and he has unveiled few signs through His Messenger (PBUH) through which we can conclude the time of end of this world but still no one ever can judge the exact time.

“The Hour (End of the World) is surely coming; I will keep it almost hidden. For each soul must be paid for its works.” 20:15

End of the World Coded in Quran:

Quran has stated about the culmination of this world as:

“The day will come when this earth will be substituted with a new earth, and also the heavens, and everyone will be brought before GOD, the One, the Supreme.” 14:48

“When the horn is blown once. The earth and the mountains will be carried off and crushed; utterly crushed. That is the day when the inevitable event will come to pass.” 69:13-15

Signs of Approaching End of the World

The splitting of the moon:

This already happened in June 1969 when man landed on the moon and brought back moon rocks. People on earth can go now to many museums, colleges and observatories to look at pieces of the moon.

“The Hour has come closer, and the moon has split.” 54:1

The Creature (27:82):

The Quran has predicted that at the right time God will produce a creature that will be instrumental in unveiling God’s signs. This was fulfilled, the creature was the computer which was instrumental in unveiling the Quran’s numerical code, and proclaiming that the world has neglected God’s message.

“At the right time, we will produce for them a creature, made of earthly materials, declaring that the people are not certain about our revelations.” 27:82

Gog and Magog:

They re-appear, in accordance with God’s plan, in the year 1700 AH (2271 AD). Gog and Magog are mentioned in 18:94 and 21:96. If you count the verses from 18:94 to the end of Sura 18, you find them 17. If you count the verses from 21:96 to the end of Sura 21, you find them also 17. This is the Quran’s sign that Gog and Magog will re-appear in 1700 AH.

“They said, ‘O Zul-Qarnain, Gog and Magog are corruptors of the earth. Can we pay you to create a barrier between us and them?” 18:94

Appearance of God’s Messenger of the Covenant (3:8l):

A consolidating messenger, prophesied in the Quran, comes after all the prophets have delivered the scriptures, to purify and unify. This prophecy was fulfilled in Ramadan 1408.

Reappearance of Jesus:

Another indication given in the Quran as a code for unveiling the end of the world is derived from the following verse:

“He (Jesus) is to serve as a marker for knowing the end of the world so that you can no longer harbour any doubt about it” 43:61

There are many other signs of end of the world revealed through Quran Recitation, like, appearance of Imam Mehdi, appearance of Dajjal, 72 apostates in Islam, Landslides, Earthquakes, rising of the suns from west etc.

Conclusion

It is our firm belief that nobody ever can estimate the exact time of end of the world, regardless of all the signs stated by Mayan and other resources, there are many other signs yet to appear before us. The end of times is near for sure, we should live our lives according to the teachings of Islam rather than believing on rumors and speculations.

Religion is the most important attribute of human’s life whether he is Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jew or belongs to any other religion. The deed a man commits reflects how much a religion is dominating on his character. Every religion has two types of teachings for its follower.

Inner Teaching is communicated in metaphoric way; we have to discover it using our brains and knowledge. The symbol for Islam is the Sun, the Moon, and the Star. The Sun, Moon, and Star represent Man, the walking Trinity, who is created in the Image and the Likeness of God.

All natural phenomenons represent the presence of God. The dawn and the sunset, changing weathers, creation of Mountains, flow of oceans, rain, growth of plants and sea creatures, natural calamities and disasters all symbolize that there is One God who is making this universe to work according to some plan.

Our earth is rotating and revolving in systematic way making life possible for all creatures. There are so many planets in the galaxy heaving unknown number of different living beings which are still to be discovered by man.

In the Quran, people are summoned to contemplate numerous events and objects that clearly testify to the existence and uniqueness of God and His attributes. This, indeed, is the responsibility of mankind: to be able to see the signs of God.  Thus, such a person will come to know the Creator who created him and all other things, draw closer to Him, discover the meaning of his existence and his life and so prosper.

The inner teachings demand us to discover the realities about world, to testify that there is only one God, Allah, who is running the system of this universe through angels who act according to the commandments of Lord.

Islam is always inscribed with a solemnest charge of killing women who are found in dishonoring their families indulging themselves in dating or sexual relations with men. The phenomenon is known as honor killings. Honor killings are truly un-Islamic and are never considered as legitimate act in Islam.

Qur’an doesn’t encourage Muslim men to kill their women in any circumstances. Although adultery and fornication are strongly forbidden in Islam and have strict punishments but they are only applicable after the confession of the culprits and testimony of four eye-witnesses.
Now question arises that what is the origin of honor killings? Most of the people will agree with the fact that honor killings are outcome of backward cultural customs and traditions that are prevalent in non-Islamic and men dominating society.

There is no mandatory punishment of dating in Islamic law; it doesn’t mean that dating is allowed in Muslim society. Any woman found guilty of such offenses doesn’t comply with the punishments of adultery. The killing, in result of this will be considered as cold-blooded murder.
True Muslim societies are free from such practices, although they do endure in some parts of the Middle East and South Asia. According to statistics released by the United Nations in 2000 there are approximately 5,000 deaths annually from “honor” killings. Even if one death occurred due to such barbarity, it would be one too many, as the Qur’an emphasizes that whoever takes an innocent life without sanction it is as if the murderer has slaughtered the entirety of humanity.

Islam honors women and protects feminism. Honor killings are committed by pathetic individuals who are not aware of the teachings of Islam. We should eliminate this backward tradition from our society to show the true image of Islam to the world.
