Prophet gathered all these tribes under the governance of one system which held the pacts of alliances that existed between various individual tribes. All of the tribes had to act in a single unit with regard to the individual alliances. Any attack on other religion or the tribe was considered attack on the state and on the Muslims as well.
People who are practicing other religion in the Muslim society were given a protective status: As the Holy Prophet said:
“Whoever kills a person who has a truce with the Muslims will never smell fragrance of Paradise.”(Saheeh Muslim)
In an article, it is stated: “the Jews have their religion and the Muslims have theirs.”
