Prophecies of Mayan Calendar:
The Mayan calendar predicts that the “long cycle” will come to an end on December 21, 2012. We are currently in the 4th cycle recorded by the Maya. It started in 3114B.C. and lasts for 5126 years until 2012. With the end of the 4th cycle comes… the beginning of the 5th cycle. The Maya believe that in the 5th cycle the ancient wisdom of the Maya will be rediscovered by the world and it will be a new dawn for mankind. Every year 21st December is seen to be a day winter solstice. It is the day when the sun is at its southernmost point. Besides Winter solstice, others claim that the Earth and the Milky Way’s center will align together, leading to undesirable disasters.

From pole shift to earth’s lost geomagnetism to massive earthquakes to erupting volcanoes to tidal waves to floods and there would be massive destruction to life on earth.
Magnetic Field Effect:
Because of the weakened magnetic fields the earth may not protect us against cosmic and solar radiation which would affect the nuclear reactors on the nuclear power plants. Buildings and skyscrapers will be shattered and a cloud of volcanic dust will cling.

Islamic Prophecies about End of the World
We can derive a lot of information about historical events and future prophecies from Qur’an as it is the book that reveals many truths about the creation of this world and other natural phenomenon. There are many signs of doomsday stated in Quran and told by Prophet (PBUH) as it was one of the duties of God’s Messenger to unveil the end of the world.
“God is the Knower of the future; He does not permit anyone to unveil such knowledge. Only through the messenger that He chooses does He reveal future and past events” 72:27
Being Muslims we believe that only God has the knowledge of future and he has unveiled few signs through His Messenger (PBUH) through which we can conclude the time of end of this world but still no one ever can judge the exact time.
“The Hour (End of the World) is surely coming; I will keep it almost hidden. For each soul must be paid for its works.” 20:15
End of the World Coded in Quran:
Quran has stated about the culmination of this world as:
“The day will come when this earth will be substituted with a new earth, and also the heavens, and everyone will be brought before GOD, the One, the Supreme.” 14:48
“When the horn is blown once. The earth and the mountains will be carried off and crushed; utterly crushed. That is the day when the inevitable event will come to pass.” 69:13-15
Signs of Approaching End of the World
The splitting of the moon:
This already happened in June 1969 when man landed on the moon and brought back moon rocks. People on earth can go now to many museums, colleges and observatories to look at pieces of the moon.
“The Hour has come closer, and the moon has split.” 54:1
The Creature (27:82):
The Quran has predicted that at the right time God will produce a creature that will be instrumental in unveiling God’s signs. This was fulfilled, the creature was the computer which was instrumental in unveiling the Quran’s numerical code, and proclaiming that the world has neglected God’s message.
“At the right time, we will produce for them a creature, made of earthly materials, declaring that the people are not certain about our revelations.” 27:82
Gog and Magog:
They re-appear, in accordance with God’s plan, in the year 1700 AH (2271 AD). Gog and Magog are mentioned in 18:94 and 21:96. If you count the verses from 18:94 to the end of Sura 18, you find them 17. If you count the verses from 21:96 to the end of Sura 21, you find them also 17. This is the Quran’s sign that Gog and Magog will re-appear in 1700 AH.
“They said, ‘O Zul-Qarnain, Gog and Magog are corruptors of the earth. Can we pay you to create a barrier between us and them?” 18:94
Appearance of God’s Messenger of the Covenant (3:8l):
A consolidating messenger, prophesied in the Quran, comes after all the prophets have delivered the scriptures, to purify and unify. This prophecy was fulfilled in Ramadan 1408.
Reappearance of Jesus:
Another indication given in the Quran as a code for unveiling the end of the world is derived from the following verse:
“He (Jesus) is to serve as a marker for knowing the end of the world so that you can no longer harbour any doubt about it” 43:61
There are many other signs of end of the world revealed through Quran Recitation, like, appearance of Imam Mehdi, appearance of Dajjal, 72 apostates in Islam, Landslides, Earthquakes, rising of the suns from west etc.
Conclusion
It is our firm belief that nobody ever can estimate the exact time of end of the world, regardless of all the signs stated by Mayan and other resources, there are many other signs yet to appear before us. The end of times is near for sure, we should live our lives according to the teachings of Islam rather than believing on rumors and speculations.

I don’t see the connection between the number of verses (17) and 1700AH. You can’t just blindly add two zeros and link it to the year 1700AH without any logic whatsoever. It doesn’t make sense at all.
Besides, as you mentioned, Gog and Magog has been described as corrupters of the earth. If you listen to Sheikh Imran Hossain’s lecture regarding them you’ll believe that Gog and Magog is not a species literally trapped somewhere behind a wall, rather they are humans just like us and it is their characteristic as “Corrupters of the Earth” that makes them “Gog and Magog.”

most of your interpretation of the meanings of quran does not seem to be correct. splitting of moon means that it will physically split into parts in the sky, astronauts bringing dust from moon does not comply with it. secondly creature is not computer, the beast will appear in Makkah few days before the end of world, computer was not invented in Makkah. it is worth mentioning that bible also gives details of this beast. if you study cosmology then you find that universe is expanding and its rate of expansion is also increasing, that means there is a huge amount of potential energy in the universe, unless this energy is finished, universe will keep on expanding, after that it wil start squeezing and ultimately will collapse in a single point. this process will take few hours. according to theory this is bound to happen, no one can say when but calculations do tell us that earth and with it whole universe has billions of years left. finally if Allah has that hour hidden then you can not say it will be 2012, this hype is created so that people go and watch hollywood movie 2012

Only Allah knows that when is the right time so i dont think we should belief on mayan calendar as this calendar doesnt reveal any islamic research. Yes doomsday is near and we should pray to God. But i think this mayan calendar is showing us on wrong path. No offence but this is my point of view.

Great work, to my knowledge and understanding i’ve always had a cling of not believing the 2012 theory. To my surprise after reading the recitations from Qur’an alhumdulillah my shattering faith towards the end of the world in 2012 has been revived.
I ask all the Muslim brothers to post a comment here and to have faith in the Judgement Day only as mentioned in the Qur’an.

However, I am a bit confused by your conclusion of “Appearance of God’s Messenger of the Covenant”. You have stated that This prophecy was fulfilled in Ramadan 1408. Kindly elaborate.
Also even if the predictions and speculations around the Mayan Calendar are true, that might not necessarily mean the end of the world. I have read that it might have catastrophic and drastic impacts which may wipe out 2/3rd of the world’s population! And the time after that would be like stone-age.
So if the Mayan calendar prediction comes true, it might not mean end of the world, it just may be that we won’t be here to see the stone-age

well good information abut the end of times. well being a muslim myself we believe what Quran have said. and 2012 will not be the end of the world. as after coming of Jesus. he will rule the world for forty years. and imam mehdi will lead a great force of muslims. the world will be ruled by muslims. the Islam will be the only religion left on this earth. and all that will be followed by appearnce of sun from west.

Being Muslims we believed that the end of this world is very near to us but our prophet (PBUH) told us several indicators in which some of the major are still remaining. We sure that no body can predict the precise date and time for the day but one thing is clear that everyone will be lost his life therefore, we should prepare for this time which can occur any time (after several years or in a second). Now chain of disasters are going on, may be possible 2012 or it near time bring another disaster (like tsunami, earthquake etc.)

According to teachings of the Holy Quran, end of the world (Dooms Day) is a great reality, yet no one knows its exact time. Being Muslims, it is and ought to be our firm belief.
In my opinion, prophecies of Mayan Calender about end of this world on 21 Dec 2012 is their guess rather than fact.

As described above End of The World happen shortly, but not as mentioned in “Mayan”, only as per Quran being a Muslim we believe that Death will come to every human and after death we will meet to our God.

i just personally think that whoever believes in this “world ending in 2012″ crap is surely going to be punished by God.. in ways that are unimaginable! its all over the Quran that NO ONE ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can predict the exact date of the last day! ..its just sad how so many muslims have already started believing in this! its really sad what this world has become .. everything that the prophet (PBUH) went thru all the sacrifices he made for his people.. everyone seems to have fergotin that .. its true the signs of the last day have appeared and are still appearing .. one sign that i think is appearing now is that they said “the words of the quran will disappear” according to me this means that muslims will ferget who they are and what their religion is .. they will just b muslims by name but will do everything EVERYTHING that the disbelievers do.
im not an amazing muslim myself.. n i wish i do become one with time.. atleast i know that i still have the fear of God as well has strong faith in Him, atleast my heart still aches for all the bad things i see happening around me.

I dont beleive this. Because we muslims beleive that no body knows about the hidden knowledge of the universe butt only ALLAH knows. And we have already told by our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the signs of QAYAMAT (End of The Universe). So this is a fake story…and just a entertainment…..

im only 12 .. might seem VERY young to understand however, i do do alot of research read the qur’aan
frequently.
im a muslim so i do get tought about the day of judjment.
its scary but we do have to live with it we all are going to expirience it . so why bother get worried and stress
the key to paradise is under your mothers feet
listen to her obey her rules
and read qur’aan all the time
pray 5 times a day
fast go hajj give to charaty and more stuff
do the five pillars of islam and you wont be worried of dieng
judjment day is NOT when we think it is
it can be eny time at eny hour on a friday tenth of muharram !
all im saying be prepared and live life the way yuor meant to live it

I am very happy to read this documet, it is very useful for us, as a Muslim we have to admite that ALLAH SUBHANAO TAL know every things and he will be the Creater of All Universes.
if He wants to destory so no buddy can ask him and can say any think,
so we should obey the All order of ISLAM and offer Salat and other Duties of Islam,
then we will go to JANNAT, and the JANNT is our PLANET. were we wil live forever.

my first question:why 2-5 year ago it was not said world will end in 2012.
is all these thing come in one year.World will end when allah wants and he didnt give this knowledge to their messangers so how can he give us.
As I always say: Allah Ta-la & His Prophet (PBUH) know best…All good things come to an end & so do bad things so lets do our Namaaz & help others…there is always light at the end of the tunnel even when it seems that the tunnel is never-ending..Allah knows best about what & why He does things..If the world will end then so be it, even though I was rather hoping that I won’t be alive to witness it :-S

1.the angel blowing the horn-allah will take all the good people espicially the muslims.
2.the reason why allah will take the good people is because they will go to heaven if pray 5 times a day and read the holy book”QURAN”.
3.when the angel will blow the horn the mountains will break and volcanoes will blow.
4.u cant close your ears so hard so you will be alive
5.so who is still young it will be hard
6.if the earth will be destroyed then the all planet will also be destroyed also and we will have a new earth (haven and hell)

No one can predict or claim the very date of Doom’s day,it can happen now or far coz if a man can make or think about time machine,Allah is the creator ,The day He fixed for that can be today and now or ever,you cant count time you are near to the day,
A true muslim can ‘t belive 21 dec 2012 . Because first imam mahdi (a.s)comes and 40 years rules hazrat issa(a.s) A day 48 hours . at last when every body becom a kafir evilness spread all the world . than u say THE UNIVERSS end .no body can told u a fix date the end of world
This is not believable for Muslims, because the end of the world is only in GOD hands

guess that the time is about to end . however mayyan calendar can not be a approve for muslims .
i have seen all the calculations made to predict 2012
but my answer is still as my prohpet’s (as) \i don’t know about it \ .

The mayyans were interviewed the other day about their prediction. And they said ppl are givin out wrong information about what their prediction is. Their information was that there will be a change of time during that date (a great change in time) but not the end of the world. God has given them the powers, but ofcourse no 1 knows the End of the world. Only Allah knows it. and if they are sayin there will only be a change of time then they are on same line with wat our Prophet (PBUH) said 1400 years ago. remember the signs in the Qur’an and hadith are not just there for decoration.
I was scared at first then i started educating myself and going to masjid .i have so much faith in allah !i am greatful for education!withoutislam i dont know where i would be rite now thank allah for everything life ,parents hapiness,earth water,and love.we need to love each other and make peace in this materialistic world.UDUCATE YOURSELEVES!WHENEVER ALLAH wants the world to end that will happen mankind cant change that only we can become better muslims.i am trying hard i want to be a better muslim.In this world we are faced with challenges and we cant run away from them we have to face them because they can only catch up to us.WE LOVE ALLAH AND I WILL BE A BETTER MUSLIM.
