Quran, The Myth Buster!!!

Quran, known to be the Holy Scripture of Muslims, is perhaps a book which has been engulfed in smokes of mystification due to various reasons; miss conception being the biggest of those reasons. Quran has been brought to the attention of Western civilization with an increased fervor in the most recent past with a bad name associated to it, especially after The Rev. Terry Jones, the Florida pastor publically announced to burn the Quran in an attempt to exert his rights of freedom of speech and action that United States of America grants to its every citizen.

Now, to be very honest, every sane person, for once at least, must have had the thoughts of as what really went up his mind thinking and doing so (if people could just take it to be any other book, let alone Quran).

A common belief in this regard is that he was doing this to show his hatred against Muslims, and Islam as a religion. But the question is what is it with Islam and Quran that he thought could justify him doing this? Is it that, by any means Quran or Islam disrespected his Prophet (the Jesus) or his Scripture (the Bible)?

Well the best way to determine this is by having a first hand experience of what Islam and Quran has to say about Christianity, Jews, Jesus, Moses, and for that matter, any of the other prophets of God.

It is narrated in Quran as:

Al-Maeda [5:46] And in their footsteps, We sent ‘Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), confirming the Taurât (torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurât (torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious – see V.2:2).

Now, this is just one example of what Islam and Holy Quran sees other religions, particularly Christianity to be. It’s more of an affirmation and confirmation of their (true) faiths rather than disrespect of any kind, totally unlike the actions of a Reverend, more defaming to him and his religion rather than Islam and Quran.

The best way to develop a judgment about any matter, let alone a religious one, for any sane person could be to investigate deeply. So, the best way in this case for any rational minded person could be to see and learn what Quran and Islam has to say about other religions by studying Quran, which might serve to be the biggest myth buster for you ever!!
