Significance of the Blessed Month of Rabi ul Awal
Rabi ul Awal is the 3rd blessed Islamic month having significance due to the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the last messenger of Allah born in Mecca on 12th of Rabi ul Awal on Monday. No doubt Holy Prophet (SAW) is the greatest blessing of Allah Almighty to the humanity that’s why Muslims celebrated this holy month worldwide. Every Muslim celebrate this holy month with full of Islamic spirits. People lighten up mosques their houses, streets, and parks. Many people organize Milad in their houses to show their love for our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi on 12thRabi ul Awal. This great day reminds the Muslims about the great personality, the Holy Prophet (SAW) who had taken the humanity out of the darkness of Kufr. Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) gave the knowledge of Islam to the people. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the only one who gave equality and the rights of women. Allah Almighty says in Quran about His beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW): “Verily, in the Messenger of Allah, you have a good example for him who looks to Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.” (Quran, 33: 21)
The occasion of Eid Milad-un- Nabi serves a great purpose as it brings the people closer to the teachings of Islam and to the Prophet’s way of life. It causes them to remember that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a blessing for the whole universe, so they should also behave with others like Him.
