As Islam is the religion of faith and it is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. With the passage of time, the numbers of believers of this religion are increasing tremendously. There are some most basic beliefs of Muslims which are

  1. Belief in Oneness of Allah (Tawhid)

The Arabic term Tawhid is used to describe the belief in “Oneness of Allah”. Tawhid comes from an Arabic word meaning “unification” or “oneness”. As Muslims our one and foremost belief is that there is no one worthy of worship then Allah. Allah is the one, alone and has no partner. As Said in Quran:

قُلْ هُوَاللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

“Say: He, Allah, is One.” (112:1)

And He says:

قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَهٌ وَحِدٌ وَإِنَّنِى بَرِى‏ءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ‏

Say: “He is only one God, and surely I am clear of that which you set up (with Him).” (6:19)

2. Belief in Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Being Muslims, our second belief is that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the prophet of Allah sent to us to guide us for the right path. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the last prophet of Allah and the most superior among all the prophets of Allah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) life is a role model for all the people and every Muslim should try to follow his life.

“Muhammad is not the father of any one of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the last of the prophet”

3.Belief in the Messengers of Allah

Being Muslims we belief in all the Prophets and messengers of Allah. They believe that Allah’s guidance has been revealed to human kind through specially appointed messengers, or prophets, throughout history, beginning with the first man, Adam, who is considered the first prophet and Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) is the last Prophet of Allah.

4. Belief in the Holly books

Muslims believe that Allah revealed books to His messengers as proof for mankind and as guidance for them.  Among these books is the Quran, which Allah revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As Allah said:

“Indeed, we have sent down the Quran, and surely We will guard it (from corruption). “(Quran, 15:9)

5. Belief in the Angels

Muslims believe in the existence of the angels.  The angels worship Allah alone, obey Him, and act only by His command.  Among the angels is Gabriel, who brought down the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

6. Belief in the day of Judgment

Muslims belief on the day of judgment when all the Muslims will be returned to Allah for the judgment of their deeds. They will be judged for their actions of this world, so those Muslims who obeyed Allah’s instructions will be rewarded with paradise and those who did not followed Allah’s instructions will be punished.
