Good Morals in Islam | List of some good Morals

Islam is the religion of peace, love, and respect for all mankind. Religion Islam covers all aspects of life in which character formation is the most important aspect of Islamic personality. So, we can see that the goal of Islam related to the concepts, worships, and teachings relating to values, attitudes, morals, and behavior is basically to create an Islamic personality. If the person has good character or moral values then he/she perfectly has an Islamic personality. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has stated the foremost purpose of being sent down in this world and his mission in the following words.“I have been sent for the purpose of perfecting good morals.”

Holy Prophet (SAW) was sent down to educate people about good manners and morals so that people can live a happy life being a good Muslim having Islamic personality. Being a good Muslim it is our responsibility to practice the good morals that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us and set an ideal example of Islamic character before other religion’s people. In Holy Quran Allah Almighty clearly stated that we should follow the footsteps of Holy Prophet (SAW) in the high esteemed character and a moral is a vital aspect of being an example Muslim. “And by the mercy of God, you dealt with them gently and had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you. So pass over (their faults) ask (God’s) forgiveness for them, and consult them in the affair. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in God, certainly, God loves those who put their trust (in God)” (Quran, 3:159)

Muslims should have great moral values and also possess a noble character which attracts people towards them. The great message which has left an enduring impression on the history was the unique personality of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Allah Almighty praised Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in these words: “And verily, you O Mohammad are on an exalted character” (Quran, 68:4).  Holy Prophet (SAW) set an example of good morals and perfect character to strengthen the moral character of people so that the world of beauty and perfection may be illuminated before their eyes and they may try to achieve it consciously and with knowledge.

List of some good Morals

Our beloved Prophet (SAW) set an example of good morals and good character for all mankind. Here is the list of some good morals that we all should implement in our daily life so that we can earn great reward in this life and hereafter.

  • Treat others with generosity
  • Should helpful and benevolence to others
  • Be patient
  • Sincerity, honesty, humility, justice, patience, straightforwardness, keeping a promise are some of the good morals
  • Always speaks the truth
  • Avoid Jealousy, backbiting, and falsehood
  • Respect your elders
  • Love the younger ones
  • Always help the needy people
  • Fulfill the obligations to one’s self and to society
  • Should be responsible towards Lord and fellow beings
