12 Facts About Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the last Prophet and Messenger of Almighty Allah, who was born in 570 A.D in the city of Makkah. He(PBUH) received a revelation from Allah (SWT) when the angel named Jibrael (AS) was sent down by Allah to disclose the very first five Ayahs from Surah Al-Alaq upon Him which is translated as: 

“Read in the name of your Lord who created, created man from a clot. Read, for your Lord is most Generous, who teaches by means of the pen, teaches man what he does not know.” (Quran, 96: 1-5)

The main factor that increase Value and respect to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in both the Islamic and the non-Islamic circles is His character. He(PBUH) was the best in character and He(PBUH) also said about in one of His(PBUH) hadith in the following way:

“God has sent me to perfect good manners and to do good deeds.” (Bukhari)

  1. Named as “Truthful One” before He(PBUH) become Prophet:

He(PBUH) was famous because of his “Truth full” and “honesty” title as He(PBUH) never lied even in jokes.

2. He(PBUH) lived a simple Life:

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) became Prophet at the age of 40 before that He(PBUH) was living a normal life in the society.

3. He(PBUH) was kind to kids:

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was very kind to kids and loved them. His(PBUH) attitude towards kids was always compassionate and merciful.

4. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) worked as a shepherd:

As a young man He(PBUH) worked as a shepherd worked with his uncle in trading, and was named “the honest and the trustworthy” person Because of this title Khadijah offered him to work with her.

5. He(PBUH) Used to forgive his Enemies:

Prophet (PBUH) use to forgive all of his enemies. Non- Muslims used to maltreat our beloved Prophet (PBUH) and His companions, they used to threaten Him (PBUH), beat Him, they even threw stones at Him but He(PBUH) (PBUH) forgave them all and taught everyone that forgiveness is better them revenge.

6. He(PBUH) was extremely humble:

He(PBUH) was so humble through out his life. He(PBUH) used to eat with his companions and if a stranger pass through it he could not even recognize that the last Prophet of Allah is sitting there.

7. He(PBUH) was never violent:

He(PBUH) was never violent to any of his servant. He(PBUH) never spoke any bad words to any of his companions.

8. He(PBUH) used to do his work by himself:

He(PBUH) used to do his own needs by himself. He(PBUH) used to tailor his clothes, and fix his footwear.

9. Take care of his friends:

He(PBUH) used to take care of his friends individually that is why each one of the friends think that he was the closest to him.

10. He(PBUH) Established the Rights of woman’s:

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave rights to woman as before that woman were treated so bad as there was no concept of rights about woman.

11. He(PBUH) Established the Rights of Animals:

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prohibited animal abuse. He(PBUH) said that the one who kills an animal for sport is cursed. He(PBUH) also chastised people who overload their horses or camels and told them to “Fear Allah concerning these animals that cannot speak” (Abu Dawood).
