When Searching For Enlightenment:

There comes a time in life when everyone of us sees darkness all around and there is no light that could guide us or give us hope. In such a situation we tend to get desperate and in this desperation undertake actions that we regret. In this regard, the best source of enlightenment that a Muslim has available is Quran. A Muslim must turn towards Quran as a source of enlightenment as Allah Almighty mentions in Quran:

“There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for (the benefit of) his soul, and whoever is blind (does harm) against it. And (say), “I am not a guardian over you.”” (6:104)

Therefore, whenever a Muslim gets gloomy in life, he or she needs to turn towards Quran as a means of enlightenment and guidance.

When Looking For Favors:

In Quran, Allah says:

“Then which of the favors of your lord will you deny?” (55:13)

If a Muslim realizes and analyzes the world around him or her, then they undeniably reach the conclusion that whatever is present in this world is a blessing of Allah that He has bestowed upon humans. Moreover, these blessings are uncountable and the more Muslims see this world the more they realize that life is full of blessings. There is the air we breathe in, the different kinds of foods we eat, the different weathers that are there, the meadows, the mountains, the seas, the planes and so on. Therefore, all a Muslim has to do in order to find inspiration is to just look around and see the countless blessings that He has bestowed upon humans.

When Feeling Abandoned:

There come desperate times in life when one loses all the hope and there remains no purpose or no meaning to associate with life. At such situations of devastation people might think that His Lord has abandoned Him and left them to face such difficulties and problems alone. This is the time when a Muslim requires inspiration the most. When facing such situations a Muslim must remember the following verse of Quran for inspiration and motivation. Allah says:

“Your Lord has not taken leave of you, (O Muhammad), nor has He detested (you).” (93:3)

No matter how bad the situation is, a Muslim must always remember that Allah is the Lord and the Lord always wishes the best for its subjects. Thus, a Muslim must remain patient in hard situations and the help of Allah will definitely come to the rescue of a Muslim. Besides, there are other islamic tips on battling the hardships that a Muslim must follow in times of despair.

When Having Doubts:

Finding the guidance and truth is something, which a Muslim should strive for, however, when one, reaches the Truth, then the journey does not end, rather from that point onward a Muslim needs to pray to Allah for steadfastness on the truth. A Muslim must ask Allah for steadfastness on the path of righteousness as the temptations are many and it is very hard to resist them without the help of Allah. Ergo, whenever a Muslim thinks that the temptations are increasing and there is a need for inspiration to resist them, he or she should turn towards Allah and seek steadfastness. As Allah says in Quran:

“(Who say), “Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.” (3:8)

When Keeping Pride At Bay:

The chances of falling prey to pride and arrogance increase when a person has achieved something in life. Moreover, the probability of arrogance also increases when one has walked on the path of righteousness for a while and then starts considering others as sinners or inferiors. This temptation is very hard to resist and whenever such a temptation befalls a Muslim, he or she should turn towards the following verse of Quran as a means of inspiration to resist and detest such a thought. In Quran, Allah says:

“….So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.” (53:32)

A Muslim should always turn towards this ayah of Quran as a means of resisting pride that arises out of the complex of considering oneself superior to others pertinent to righteousness.

At The Time Of Illness:

Illness is perhaps one of the most recurring things in life and it is quite natural. However, some times the intensity of illness or the time of it gets beyond the patience that a person has and starts getting frustrated over the medication and all the treatment not working. When a Muslim is in such a situation pertaining to illness, he or she needs to remember the following ayah of Quran:

“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.” (26:80)

A Muslim must undoubtedly use medication as a means of cure, however, as far as the source of the cure is concerned a Muslim must associate its provision with Allah Almighty and ask Him for cure only.

When Feeling Alone:

Allah says in Quran:

“…..He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do is Seeing.” (57:4)

A Muslim as a matter of fact is never alone. No matter how isolated and lonely a person is from the world, there is one person who will always remain with a Muslim and that is Allah Almighty. Whenever a Muslim is alone he or she must always remember that Allah is always there and He will be with a Muslim whenever every other relation of the world leaves him or her.
