The Quran-A Master Key

Impact of the Holy Quran in the life of human so far

A total of 1.5 billion Muslims reside in the world in almost 56 countries. The Quran is recited and followed widely in the world. Being a common human being every one of us may be got the questions deep inside our brains and in our hearts that,

Why were we created?

What is the purpose of life?

Why is there so much human suffering?”

The Master key guides us in this regard, the Quran says, “And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)” (Al-Dhaariyaat 51:56)

In another verse of the Holy Book, Almighty Allah says: “Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose) and that you would not be brought back to Us?”(Quran, 23-115)

So Exalted be Allaah, the True King: (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!” (Al-Mu’minun 23:115, 116)

“We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a (mere) play” (Quran, 21:16)

Allah has not created man to eat, drink and multiply, in which case he would be like the animals. Allah has honored man and favored him far above many of those whom He has created, but many people insist on disbelief, so they are ignorant of or deny the true wisdom behind their creation, and all they care about is enjoying the pleasures of this world. The life of such people is like that of animals, and indeed they are even more astray. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning) in the Holy Quran:

“While those who disbelieve enjoy themselves and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode” (Quran, 47:12)

The answers provided here alone can tell us a lot, the world has seen the impact of the Quran and Islam on the lives of so many in the world.

Why the Quran is the Master Key?

Quran is Allah’s final revelation and after so many years it is in the same form that was 14 hundred years ago and this is one of the many reasons of it being the greatest book ever sent by Allah SWT, Allah says in the Quran,

“Indeed, We have sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We of it (are) surely Guardians.” (Quran, 15:9)

The world has seen the times Muslims suffered and their religion got too many threats but Allah saved their religion and the Quran, as He promised to do so. We can see the impact of the Quran in all walks of human history. Quran impacted a lot the scientific side of human beings, from their birth to the most famous glories of their world has seen until now.

Quran and Science

From the creation of the universe, from the most discussed theory of human history the big bang to astronomy, the movement of the Sun and the moon, in the creation of the nights, orbits, the solar apex, expansion of the universe, the conquest of space, geology, water cycle, mountains, biology, botany, physiology, embryology, fertilization, implantation, age of the earth, the floods, and the famous prediction that the world has seen and is still visible in the Egyptian museum.

The master key Quran talked for each aspect and dealt beautifully in every aspect of human life. The world of libraries and the platforms like google and the world of internet is open for everyone no matter what religion, race and cult we follow, the truth is always a truth and can never be denied simply closing one’s eyes and saying we can’t see.

Impact of the Quran on a few Scientific Fields

Biology

“Do the unbelievers not realize that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then I clove them asunder and I made every living thing out of water. Will, they still not believe?” (Quran, 21:30)

Scientists derived many things regarding living, non-living things with the help of Quranic verses. The concept of reproduction is very wisely discussed in Quran.

Mountains

“Have We not made the earth an expanse and the mountains stakes?” (Quran, 78:6-7)

In modern times geology talked for the phenomenon of folding. Quran has discussed many many years ago. So the scientist discovered that the stability of the mountains can be linked to the phenomenon of folding discussed in the Quran.

Water cycle

“Have you not seen that Allah sent rain down from the sky and caused it to penetrate the ground and come forth as springs, then He caused crops of different colors to grow…” (Quran,39:2)

In the sixteenth century, it was Bernard palissy who discussed in detail the water cycle. But let me tell you all the Quran has discussed it for a long time before. Before that people merely took it as a matter unknown to them.

Expansion of the universe

The general theory of relativity first discussed the expansion of the universe in human history which talked about the distancing of one galaxy from the other, thus a sign of expansion of the universe, but way before it was already discussed in the Quran, as Allah says in one of the chapters,

“I built the heaven with power and it is I, who am expanding it.” (Quran,51:47)

Quran, Equality, Dignity, and the Brotherhood

Quran talked about the general welfare of human beings and society. Its message is a universal one and not limited to race, color, ethnicity, and nationality. Prophet of Islam treated the whole earth as a prayer carpet and never said that a specific class is superior to other, whether these were Arabs or non-Arabs, the only parameter was the purity and the strong relationship with the one God and strong belief in the prophethood of Muhammad SAW is the last prophet from Allah Almighty.

The Quran says, “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female, and have made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Indeed the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted” (Quran 49:13)

And the Prophet(SAW)said, “O people!  Your God is one and your forefathers (Adam) is one.  An Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is no better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person,3 except in piety.”  (Musnad Ahmad)

The facts and figures about the Quran

Quran consists of a Total of 114 Surahs/Chapters with 86 (75.4%) Surahs/chapters revealed in Mecca and 28 (24.6%) chapters in Madina. The total verses in the Quran are 6236 with the BismiAllah not included except for Surah Fatihah. With Bismillah included the total number of Qur’anic Verses is 112 + 6236 = 6348. Out of 6236 total verses, 4613(76%) verses revealed in Mecca and 1623(26%) of verses revealed in Madina. There are a total of 77,797 words in the Quran. These words are distributed as 47,638 in Makki Surahs and 30,159 in Madni Surahs respectively. Although the total number of words in the Quran is 77,797 the number of “Unique Words” that is words without repetition is 14,870. Quran has a total number of 330,709 Letters/Characters. These Letters are distributed as 200,137 in Makki and 130,572 in Madni Surahs.

I would like to close my discussion with these lines from The Quran, surely it will guide as the other parts of the Quran-the master key do.

“Those to whom we gave the book before this, believe in it, and, when it is recited to them, they say, we believed in it, surely it is the truth from our Lord, even before it we were of those who surrender.” (Quran, 28:52-53)
