Way of Life According to Teachings of Quranic Verses

The Noble Quran is the 4th sacred book of Allah Almighty which provides the complete code for the Muslims to live a good, subdued, abundant and rewarding life. Quran is the book of guidance for all mankind following it is the obedience to the commandments of Allah in this life and to gain salvation in the hereafter. It is the scheme of life for every Muslim and also the “constitution” of the Kingdom of Heaven (Allah Almighty) on Earth. Everyone can easily understand the teachings of the Quran and follow the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), to the best of his or her ability, assured by Allah Almighty. In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty says: “On no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear.” (Quran 2:286)

When we read the Quran we find instructions regarding all aspects of life: political, social, economic, ethical, marital, and many others. These instructions provide us with all the details needed to perform a certain act according to the teachings of the Quran and Allah Almighty. In Noble Quran Allah (SWT) says: “Indeed, there has come to you light and a clear book from Allah; with it Allah guides him who fill follows His pleasure into the ways of safety and brings them out of utter darkness into light by his will and guides them to the right path.” (Quran, 5: 15- 6)

Today we will discuss in this article some of the lessons learned from Quranic Verses that can apply to our general life routine and make them our way of life.

  • First of all, Quran teaches us to give respect and honor to all human beings irrespective of their religion, color, race, sex, language, status, property, birth, profession and so on. (Quran,17:70)
  • One should talk straight without any ambiguity. (Quran, 33:70)
  • Choose the best words to speak and say them in the best possible way. (Quran,17:53 & 2:83)
  • Speak politely while keeping the voice low. (Quran,31:19)
  • Always speak the truth. (Quran,22:30)
  • Do not confound truth with falsehood. (Quran, 2:42)
  • Always say what is in your heart. (Quran, 3:167)
  • Always be just in your opinion, even if it is against a relative. (Quran, 6:152)
  • Do not be arrogant with people. (Quran, 31:18)
  • Walk with humility and sedateness. (Quran, 25:63)
  • If you do not have complete knowledge about anything, it’s better to keep your mouth shut. You might think that speaking about something without full knowledge is insignificant. But it might have grave consequences. (Quran, 24:15)
  • Be moderate in thy pace. (Quran, 31:19)
  • If, unintentionally, any misconduct occurs by you, then correct yourself fast. (Quran, 3:134)
  • Ascertain the truth of any news, lest you smite someone in ignorance and afterward repent of what you did. (Quran,49:6)
  • Do not jealous of those who are blessed. (Quran, 4:54)
  • Eat and drink in moderation. (Quran, 7:31)
  • Fulfill promises and commitments. (Quran, 17:34)
  • Dress-up in agreeable attire and adorn yourself with an exquisite character from inside out. (Quran,7:26)
  • When you enter your own home or somebody else, compliment the inmates. (Quran, 24:61)
  • Be nice to people who work under your care. (Quran, 4:36)
  • Do not follow up with what you have given to others to afflict them with reminders of your generosity. (Quran, 2:262)
  • Do not backbite about one another and also not spy upon one another. (Quran, 49:12)
  • Do not insult others by nicknames. (Quran, 49:11)

These were some of the lessons learned from the Holy Quran that we all should implement and follow in our daily life. Islam is the complete code of life which is according to the teachings of the Quran. Quranic verses are the best way of life that we all should learn, understand and implement in our lives. Ameen!
